3. simen be teburengge,

怀有精神，

To harbor spirit,

simen serengge mujilen -i ferguwecuke genggiyen be, 

“精神”是内心的奇妙、明亮，

"Spirit" is the wondrous, radiant light within.

tebumbi serengge, 

“怀有”则是

"To harbor" then means:

olhoba ginggun -i tuwakiyara, 

谨慎、恭敬地看守；

To guard with caution and reverence;

narhvn getuken -i tucibure, 

细致、明白地显露出；

To subtly and clearly reveal;

huwenkiyeme yendere baitalan bisire, 

有振奋、兴旺的作用；

To have an invigorating and thriving effect;

tohorome toktoro tuwakiyan bisire be, 

有安定、稳定的品行。

To possess a calm and stable character.

ainci beri be jalu tatacibe sinderakv, 

想必虽然把弓拉满但是不放箭，

One might imagine pulling a bow to its full draw but not releasing the arrow,

goibure toyon be, baibi yasai juleri jolhocoro adali ome serengge, 

所谓说，要射中的准头变得像平白地在眼前要（往上）冲涌一样，

In other words, for the aim to be so precise that the target seems to surge forth effortlessly before your eyes,

yooni tacire ursei dolori ulhinjere de bi, 

在全部学习者的心中领悟的时候，

when this is understood in the hearts of all learners,

uttu ohoi simen, gabtan de hafufi, 

一直是这样的话，精神通到射箭之后

if it's always this way, then spirit can permeate archery,

gabtan simen ci ferguwecuke ombi, 

射箭从精神中变得奇妙。

and archery, in turn, becomes wondrous through the spirit.

tuttu ofi henduhengge, beri darame jalumbutala, 

所以说，“拉弓直到拉满，

Therefore, it's said: "Draw the bow until it's full,

simen be toktobume dendeburakv oho manggi, 

使精神稳定并使之不分开，（然后，）

stabilize the spirit and keep it undivided;

teni jorime goici ombi sehebi, 

才可以瞄准并正中”。

 Only then, can you aim and hit the mark."

erebe simen be tebumbi sembi,

将此称之为“怀有精神”。

This is what we call "harboring spirit."

uthai amba tacin bithei henduhe seolehe manggi 

就用《大学》所说的和所思的（内容），

This understanding can only be grasped through what is spoken and contemplated in The Great Learning,

teni bahame mutembi sere arbun muru, 

才可能得以（理解）。

only then can it be achieved (understood).

xe i fiyelen de, 

在《射义》中，

In The Meaning of the Ceremony of Archery,

meni meni beyei mujin be sibkimbi serengge kai, 

正是在各自研究自己的志向啊，

it is precisely about individuals focusing on their own aspirations.

goibure be kicere be sibkimbi sembi, 

努力射中目标即为研究，

Striving to hit the target is the essence of study,

goibume mutere be bibumbi sembi,

能够射中即为留住

and successfully hitting it means retaining that learning.

sibkifi bahaci, musei gvnin be sidarambucibe, 

如果研究之后得到了，那么会使咱们的想法得以舒展，

If you achieve your goal after studying, it will broaden your perspective,

sibkifi baharakv oci, inu musei gvnin -i tebuhe babe ufaraburakv, 

但是如果研究之后没有得到，那么不会使咱们的想法所存留的东西丢失。

but if you don't achieve it after studying, it won't lead to the loss of what you've already accumulated in your mind.

simen sere simen serengge, 

所谓精神的精神是

The so-called spirit of spirit is 

aljaci hokombi, 

分离后离去。

to depart after separation, 

bibuci taksimbi, 

是留下后则存在，

and to exist after remaining.

kicerakvci ombio.

可不可以努力呢？

Can we truly strive for this?
